New York Mets
Fans will get plenty of opportunities to see Pedro Martinez, Carlos Beltran, Doug Mientkiewicz and all the new Mets, both on broadcast and cable television.
New York is slated to appear eight times on FOX and three times on ESPN, including a Sunday night game on June 26 against the Yankees in the Bronx. Fox Sports New York will carry 51 games, including the Mets' first regular-season game against the Nationals, in Washington on April 29.
Madison Square Garden Network and WPIX (Channel 11) will air 50 games apiece. MSG will broadcast New York's 44th Opening Day at Cincinnati on April 4th at 2:10 p.m. ET, as well as the Mets home opener against Houston on April 11th at 1:10 p.m.
WPIX will air the Friday and Sunday contests (May 20 and May 22) vs. the Yankees at Shea. Friday night's action kicks off at 7:10 p.m. as the Mets battle their cross-town rival, while Sunday's contest begins at 1:10 p.m. On Saturday, May 21, FOX 5 will broadcast the Mets-Yankees game nationally at 1:20 p.m.
In addition, New York will televise 10 Spring Training games, beginning with a 7:10 matchup on March 3 against defending National League champion St. Louis. The Sunday April 3 game in Washington will also be televised from RFK Stadium on MSG.
